Tyler Bradley, of Croswell, joins SVSU's homecoming court

2013 Oct 16

Tyler Bradley, of Croswell, was among 11 students selected to Saginaw Valley State University's 2013 homecoming court.

Dylan Kosaski, a biochemistry major from Stanwood, and Emily VanFleteren, of Troy, were given the homecoming king and queen honors, respectively, after students voted from a pool of 11 nominees.

Kosaski, a senior, is president of Student Association, the university's student government. He is a biochemistry major and a member of the National Residency Hall Honorary.

VanFleteren is a senior with a major in physical education and minors in English and coaching. Both VanFleteren and Kosaski represent Forever Red, an SVSU student organization that raises funds to support student scholarships and network current students with SVSU alumni.

The rest of the homecoming court, determined by a vote of SVSU students, includes the following:

o Julia Harbuck, a nursing major from Pigeon o Tyler Bradley, a graphic design major from Croswell

o Chelsea Hummel, a social work major from Clio

o Carleton Green, a communications major from Westland

o Colleen Jones, a criminal justice major from Ferndale

o Juliann Kasza, an elementary education major from Trenton

o Tyler Manning, a political science and criminal justice major from Davison

o Evee Sampson, a psychology major from Ypsilanti

o Terrance Moore, a criminal justice major from Royal Oak

This year, as part of SVSU celebrating its 50th anniversary, 35 former homecoming kings and queens participated in the weekend ceremonies.
