Saginaw native participates in statewide sexual assault prevention conference

Students from across the state came together in Ann Arbor Nov. 18 to discuss how they are helping their college fight back against violence on campuses.

Ashley Corwin, a social work major from Saginaw, attended the University of Michigan's conference, titled "Activating our Campus: A Collective of Anti-Violence Student Activists."

As a member of Saginaw Valley State University's Peer Health Education student wellness program, Corwin attended the event to gain a better understanding of how to help prevent sexual assualt on college campuses. .
