SVSU student Jonah Weisenberger, of Sanford, contributes to Dow Corning Corporation in a co-op position role

Saginaw Valley State University student Jonah Weisenberger, of Sanford, has gained valuable experience with Dow Corning Corporation in a co-op position.

As part of the SVSU Cooperative Education and Internship Program administered by the Office of Career Services, students such as Weisenberger have the opportunity to apply their academic coursework into a real-world setting.

Recognized with the Community Engagement Classification by the Carnegie Foundation for Advancement of Teaching, SVSU encourages students to pursue practical experience. By their senior year, 84 percent of SVSU students have engaged with community employers and agencies in internships, field placements or some other component of their academic preparation.
