SVSU student Chelsea Hummel, of Clio, eligible for job opportunities connected to academic program

2015 Mar 19

Chelsea Hummel, of Clio, has been accepted by the Saginaw Valley State University Office of Career Services for the Cooperative Education and Internship Program.

Hummel, pursuing a criminal justice degree, is now prepared to be an active job seeker and contribute to an organization connected with their academic program of study.

As part of the approval process, Hummel was required to meet program eligibility criteria. This includes collaboration with a SVSU Career Services advisor to develop a professional resume and cover letter. This may also involve additional training in the skills necessary to successfully transition from the classroom to the workplace.

The designation means Hummel is eligible to pursue co-op and internship opportunities posted for SVSU students on the Cardinal Career Network, an online job database that connects students and alumni to over 5,100 organizations that posted nearly 7,100 opportunities in 2013-14.

Organizations seeking to connect with highly motivated students such as Hummel are invited to contact the Office of Career Services at (989) 964-4954, careers@svsu.edu or www.svsu.edu/careers for more information.
