SVSU's Music Department presents a Senior Recital by Amanda Lewis

Saginaw Valley State University presents a senior recital by Amanda Lewis. Lewis will perform Sunday, March 24 at 4 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.

Pieces being performed include: "Etude in C minor op. 21 no. 12," "Morceaux de Fantasie: Elegie," "Un Sospirio," "Prelude in G minor," "Etude op 2 no. 1," "and Ballade in G minor".

Lewis had been studying piano since she was six years old. She graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 2009 and followed her dreams of studying music. She enrolled at SVSU that fall where she took lessons from Dr. Edward Soehnlen for her first year and Dr. Carl Angelo for the following three years. Lewis was awarded the Rhea Miller music scholarship. She plays for weddings and funerals and Edwards has been teaching piano for about six years. She was recently accepted to study collaborative piano, a piano performance degree, at Illinois State University this upcoming fall.
