SVSU Medical Laboratory Science students attend Coagulation Symposium

Fifteen seniors in the Medical Laboratory Science Program at Saginaw Valley State University attended the Coagulation Symposium on Thursday, Oct. 12 in Plymouth, Mich. The event featured several different speakers who delved into topics relating to "Value-Based Hemostasis Education for the Clinical Laboratory."

Rachel Souffrin of Saginaw attended the symposium.

Discussions included "Quality in the Coagulation Laboratory," "Modern Anticoagulant Screening and Measurement for Challenging Patient Cases," "Hemostasis and Women's Health and VTE Screening," and "Diagnosis: The Role of the D0-dimer Testing vs. Imaging."
