Rachel Katch Presented an Abstract at the 2013 Athletic Trainers' Annual Symposium

Rachel Katch, an athletic traning major from St. Charles, Mich. presented, “Emergency Planning for Sudden Cardiac Events in Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region High School: A Descriptive Study”, “Athletic Training Students Learning Styles, Study Habits, and BOC Apprehensions: A Descriptive Analysis”, and “Effectiveness of Three-Sanitation Techniques on Bacterial Growth on Athletic Mouthguards after Activity”.

Several students from Saginaw Valley State University were invited to present their abstracts at the 2013 Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association Annual Meeting and Symposium. The symposium took place March 13 -15 in Wheeling, Ill.

Only a handful of college students receive an opportunity like this each year. Students are chosen to present an abstract at the GLATA symposium.

David C. Berry, John Lowry, and Kay Castillo attended the symposium with the students to help with the presentations.
