Lexee Longwell, from Holland, to perform during SVSU holiday choir concert

2013 Nov 27

Saginaw Valley State University student Lexee Longwell, a theater major from Holland, will be among the performers when the Cardinal Singers and Concert Choir perform this year's holiday-themed concert, "Sing Noel!"

The concert -- at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall -- is free and open to the public.

The program's lineup includes both secular and sacred music selections, including "The Red, Blue and White," "Magnificat," "Deck The Halls," "The 12 Days of Christmas" and "Jingle Bells."

Kevin Simons, SVSU assistant professor of music, will serve as the concert's conductor. He leads both the Cardinal Singers, a select chamber vocal ensemble, and the Concert Choir, a large vocal ensemble. In all, some 55 SVSU student vocalists will perform in the concert.
