Kyla Kane, of Frankenmuth, selected to 2014 SVSU Homecoming Court

Kyla Kane, of Frankenmuth, was selected to the 2014 Saginaw Valley State University Homecoming Court.

Kane, a health science major, was honored along with 9 other students on the court.

SVSU students cast their votes to select the court.

Students then cast a second round of votes to crown the court's king and queen. Those honors went to Homecoming Queen Bethany Thrun, a nursing major from Garden City, and Homecoming King Tom Sutherland, a finance major from Carsonville.

The king and queen were announced at halftime of SVSU football's homecoming game against Northwood University on Saturday, Oct. 25.

The rest of the homecoming court includes Rashed Aldubayyan, of Saudi Arabia; Alyssa Fitzgerald, of Gaylord; Derrek Humphries, of Flint; Leah Jording, of Saline; Mimi Marcus, of Southfield; Matthew Walla, of Romeo; and Preston Weber, of Bronson.
