Keith Schnabel of Essexville Performs in Pulitzer Prize–Winning 'Buried Child' at SVSU

Keith Schnabel of Essexville, Mich., is performing in Saginaw Valley State University's second production of the semester, Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize–winning play "Buried Child."

Schnabel, a theater major, is portraying Bradley in the play, a 1978 drama that offers a macabre look at an American Midwestern family with a terrible secret.

Directed by SVSU assistant professor of theatre David Rzeszutek, performances are set for 7:30 p.m. every evening from Wednesday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 10, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the Malcolm Field Theatre for Performing Arts. The show is intended for a mature audience, age 16 and above.The full cast list includes

• Isaac Wood, a theatre major from Flint, who will play the role of Dodge

• Mykaela Hopps, a theatre major from Bay City, who will play Halie

• Dakotah Myers, a theatre major from North Branch, who will play Tilden

Keith Schnabel, a theatre major from Essexville, who will play Bradley

• Lexee Longwell, a theatre major from Howell, who will play Shelly

• Jordan Stafford, a theatre major from Detroit, who will play Vince

• Blake Mazur, a theatre major from Saginaw, who will play Father Dewis

Tickets are $10 for general admission; $7 for senior citizens and students.
