Amanda Lewis of Frankenmuth Performs in SVSU Choir Concert on Dec. 3

Amanda Lewis, a music major from Frankenmuth, is singing with the concert choir at Saginaw Valley State University, in a performance of "spirit songs" from throughout history. The concert is set for Monday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.

Selections include Thomas Morley's "Sing We and Chant It" from the 16th century, "Waltz for an Open Sleigh" by Dan Davison and "Veni Sancte Spiritus" by Mozart from the 18th century.

Kevin Simons, SVSU assistant professor of music, will conduct the concert. Rachel Andrews, SVSU artist-in-voice, will sing mezzo-soprano, and Cheryl Cheger-Timm, will accompany on the piano.
